¡¡FINALLY YOU'RE 18!!

Alright well Robyn turned 18 today! Hooray. Her and Kassie both have bdays on the same day so they had a little joint partay at the Black Swan which i just got back from. Keeping with my promise of posting more often i came straight onto the comp to post all these pics i just took.

K the first one was supposed to be of us taking the porns star shots i got us for robyns legality celebration, but i seem to be more prominent than robyn, gah, oh well i'll get a better one of you drinking on friday rob!! and AWW isn't that a cute pic of us on the right? i especially love the floral couch, it adds a little.. je ne sais quoi, don't you think?

Then we have some pics of some hot girls! Like Ryan put it.. "you have a lot of hot friends Colleen". Yes, yes i do.

A couple of really cute couples!! It took Katie and Brett 2 tries to get a nice pic like this, and Robyn and Tayler.. ummm lets just say i lost count. I guess Katie and Brett have had more time to practice posing together.

Robbie and Brett are TOO COOL for words! And dammit! i could only manage to get Jaz to look at the camera in the other pic. You people suck.

SORRY!

i know it's been forever and ever and ages since i've posted, so here i am! plus since it's been so long, i have quite a few pictures to satisfy your colleen craving for the week.

Alright well first of all, last week Carlee and i had this computer science project to do, and i wanted to make mine interesting so we decided to take pictures with my digital camera around the university and then use some of them for the coverpage of the project. Now we already know i love taking pictures.. so leave 2 girls alone in a big university with too much time on your hands and THIS, my friends, is what you get! On the left we have what i eloquently named : "Carlee in a pot", and on the right is the picture in which Ryan says i look like i'm humping a giant paperclip, which is actually a modern art piece that lives in the Science Theatres.


And we had some fun at lunchtime, taking a couple pics with the timer on my camera. Enlarge the one on the right to really be able to see it, it's super cool. I'm so artistic.


Alright and last night Ryan and I and his friends Matt and Nick went to Limericks for Amanda's birthday (she went to HWW and was a year older, ryan knows her from work). Man it was like a big class of 2003 reunion, it was nuts. I only took a couple pictures, and then we left and Martha Stewart (aka ryan) made us brownies and we watched MAD and SNL.

I thought we'd finish up this post with a nice vain picture of me because .. i'm a camera whore. We were supposed to be going out to the club on friday night so i got all ready and THAT is what my hair looked like after i had gotten out of the shower and gave it a quick blowdry. I thought it was cool. Ooh and in that pic i'm wearing my new jeans that i'm IN LOVE WITH, but u can't really see them so perhaps i'll take some more pics later of all the new clothes i got (i spent 120$ in one store the other day, oops) and i'll post them for ya! yaaaaaaay


Well thats that, i should go finish reading Frankenstein now, yech i hate english class.
I promise to post more often, i just didn't feel like it last week :)

finally!

yay the mittens are finally done. now there's a scarf and a hat that go with it on the pattern, and i bought enough yarn to do it all, but i don't know if i'll EVER get around to that. For now i'll just revel in the glory that is my mitten on a string. YOU KNOW YOU WANT SOME FOR YOURSELF!!

Alright i love that big ol space that i can't get rid of. Anyhow i know it's been a while since i wrote anything but i've had a somewhat busy week. Here's just some of what i've been up to:

Thursday night Carlee, Jackie and I went to Cowboys and had a grand old time. I saw Chris the bartender for work and we ended up dancing for a while. What a hottie (refer back to last post for picture), too bad i hadn't taken my digital camera that night i could have gotten so many good pictures.

Friday night heather and i were itching for something fun to do soooo we headed on down to On Tap for KARAOKE NIGHT!! There were 2 other ladies there that kept going up in turns and they weren't bad.. okay one of them was bad.. but they were having fun so that's alright. Then me and heather got up there and TORE THE HOUSE UP!! We got to sing so many songs cause there was nobody else that wanted to sing, so we sang.. lets see if i can remember: Cowboy take me away, We Danced Anyways, At the Beginning (from Anastasia!) - we sang our hearts out with KICKASS harmony, it was awesome.

Heather and I also sang a few songs separately, it was all great fun until i started to sing Killing me Softly. Well if anyone has seen me at Karaoke they know that that is MY KARAOKE SONG, i've performed it before at talent shows and concerts (i usually accompany myself on the piano) ,its just a song that i used to have really polished and practiced up (plus i just love it). Well when i sang that song, i don't know if it was cause the guys playing buckhunter in the corner had kept buying me and heather drinks, but i just WAILED on that song. I sung my little heart out and it was .. i just astonished myself, really. I guess a couple of drinks just gets rid of my nerves cause DAMN that must have been the best i've ever sung in my life (unless the liquor just impaired my judgement).

Right so these boys thought we were prettty good (keep in mind they were intoxicated, lol) and they kept buying us whatever we wanted. Well at the end of the night we snuck a look at their tab... $175!! my lord i dont know if i've ever even seen that much money all in one place. PLUS they left the waitress an $80 tip! WHooee!! Anyways that was our fun night at karaoke, and you better believe we'll be doing that again.

Staff PARTAAAY!!

well, what do you get when you combine a ton of happy co-workers with a decent amount of alcohol and some great food, and put them all in one lounge? THIS!!! We had our staff christmas party the other day complete with secret santa gifts and cheap liquor and DANCING!! click on each pic to get a better view of the mayhem

Alright somehow Ed (in all of his green shirt blue shirt glory) is in SO many of my pictures, these are but a few. I also LOVE the neon sign above us in the pic on the left, how appropriate!

On the left we have Jacquôt surrounded by 2 very lovely ladies, what a pimp. Oh and on the right is our only bartender for that evening, it musta sucked but he did a super job and looked stylin with those glasses.


Alright exibit A: everyone dancing to some old school R&B, exhibit B: Jason trying to pull Colleen onto the makeshift dancefloor to dance to some oldschool R&B (2pac lives!).

Well there are a few more pics but i figured that'd be enough to satisfy most of your interests. Perhaps i'll print some out and take them to work. Maybe i'll get around to that by July.

In school news.. i have to go to school tomorrow for 1 .. count it.. ONE class. Because labs don't run the first week, all i actually have to go to tomorrow is Spanish. That means that i will officially spend twice as much time on city transit than i will in actual lectures. SAD DAY!

Oh in other news.. i actually started serving tonight! I had ONE.. count it.. 1 table!! YEAAA baby! i'm makin my way fo sho.

More news.. i can't wait to go up to Edmonton and visit Lindsay!! She has her own room now and i hear it's pretty damned pimp so as soon as i get a break here.. i'm comin up BABY!!!

Alright well i should probably go to sleep and rest up for my one class.

Tonite i went to Blaines little going away bash at the Point. It was nice seeing him again although now he's just going to jet off to Southeast Asia for a good 6 months. It was so cute when i drove him home afterwards as i dropped him off the song 'don't forget me when i'm gone' came on the radio. Then after we said goodbye and i was on the way home 'here without you' was playing. HMMM odd. I love music and how it can compliment your mood or even change your mood if you just let it take you. AMA-zing.

Anyways i'm going to bed now, but i'll leave u with a picture of Darlene and I on newyears.

i didn't stop knitting, i just stopped posting knitting pics!

Alright i'll start out this entry with a couple of seriously random pictures from the Point the other day when Linds, Laura, Matt and I met up with Tweeds and Beth (well, by the time matt go there those 2 were gone but that's not important, although i still wonder why we seriously couldn't find him for a couple hours there). Steve musta taken some pictures when he was looking through the pics on my camera, he's either realllly sneaky and took these without me noticing or i noticed but completely forgot a minute later.

Random indeed!

And now for some knitting pictures, just to prove that i HAVE been doing something productive:

These are the 3 hats i crocheted for my 3 lovely ladies, plus a few extras that i made to match!

On the left is Lindsays hat, made specifically to match the scarf i made her for her b-day. Soon as she gives me a pic of her wearing both together i'll for sure put them up!

On the right is the blue hat i made for Robyn, my little blue baby, and the scarf that i made by stitching together a bunch of crocheted granny squares and then making a white border. After i took this pic i also added blue and white tassles, and i also need a pic of Robyn wearing these beauties. OH how i wanted to keep this scarf!!! it took me sooo long

Alright and here is my lovely Heather sporting her matching crocheted hat and mittens-on-a-string set. Oh and pay special attention to that pom-pom, she made it herself!

Alright well it's about time to show you what i'm working on NOW!

First up is my ghetto-fab legwarmer. I started working on this as soon as i got the idea a few weeks ago, and so far it's going super. I get to use up all my extra stash yarn while also mixing and matching crazy colors and will eventually end up with 2 kickass non-matching crazy legwarmers that i PROMISE to wear in public sometime, perhaps with a short skirt. Other than that the plan is to wear them with my tap shoes at summerstock rehearsals! WOOT!


You can still see my needles in there as i'm still working on my first leg...

Next up is that mitten i started oh so long ago. I got this yarn right b4 summerstock auditions, and my dad bought me this wicked pattern that includes these mittens, a little beret-hat-toque thing, and a scarf. MAN it was going to be such a cute little set.. but i never finished it. In fact.. this WAS the second mitten, but once i finished it (at summerstock auditions actually.. remember this gals?) i realized that the first one was hideously oversized, so i ripped that one out and never made another.

I love this yarn AND this mitten pattern, and i promise to finish at least these mittens (which will inevidably become mittens on a string), if not the entire set. Hopefully i finish sometime b4 winters over, although i wouldn't be too sad if winter just ended right about.... NOW!

Alright i'm sleepy, time to go to bed and then sleep in tomorrow until 4 and then go to work. AHH what a life. Oh well it'll be over soon enough.. school starts on Monday. EWW

sorry for being so lazy, its just been a busy week i guess, but anyhow Beth hosted this lovely soiree a week or so ago to commemorate all of the aforementioned events and all i have to say is that a major picture overload lies ahead.

Heather and Colleen are surprised to see each other, while Steven and Beth look smug, sort of as though they planned this entire little "get together".. oh wait.. they did.

As the night proceeds you can see Heat's hair come undone and Colleen start to smile a little. CRAZZZAAAY!!
